A few early June moments: kale harvest in that lovely sideways morning light; a welcome visitor in the prop house; Paul hoping for a toss; pea harvest in the greenhouse with @uglycarrotfood and @foreignpear_ .

We put a shout out to our island community to help us rock pick this final area of land we cleared a couple of years ago and have been draining and getting ready to go into production this year. And oh wow did they answer! At one stage we had 7 tractors and 43 people picking rocks while I tried to keep up running the cultivator. Thanks so much to our amazing friends and neighbours. Compost and lime this week and away we go!

The ranunculus are blooming and they are exquisite.

Prepping some new ground with the BCS and drop spreader from @earth_and_turf_products via @earthtoolsky when we can’t use a large spreader due to proximity of water bodies or almost mature crops, this allows us to apply compost quite quickly.

First bed of tomatoes in! It’s a juggle getting through epic farm to do lists in the spring but @localllemon and @foreignpear_ pushed through the sticky heat this afternoon to get ‘er done. We’ll train these Romas to two heads in a few weeks.

700’ beds are looonnnngggg!! We got about half the onions in at @lentelusfarms this past week. Looking forward to hopefully having onions well into the winter this year.
